The Rock is a vessel for multiple practices — sculpture, film, and photography, as well as painting and sound — each distinct and, at the same time, woven into one body. This larger-scale work takes a unique, porous, rock-like form, sheltering moving images and sound within it. It holds the poetic tension between the still and the moving, the solid and the fluid, the enduring and the ephemeral. The Rock is a host. It blends the energy of different artistic voices into a single form, in an all-for-one-and-one-for-all kind of way.
